Boudicca portrait

Well, actually this is more of a self portrait. This is NOT traced, I did this freehand on the computer, using photo reference of a pic of me (obviously!). I'm quite pleased with it - i've not really done much digital this year, and this sure has got me in the mood!

Boudicca was a famous british queen - google her if you don't know. I'm dressing up as her for my 30th bday party (myths and legends themed). So i thought i should do a bit of a digital dress rehearsal!
The celts back in the old days used to use a plant called Isatis Tinctoria - which produces an indigo dye when prepared in the proper fashion. I've even found somewhere I can buy the dye!! So basically this is why she's covered in blue paint. Didn't know how to do the warpaint, but thought this looked quite striking.
